We are now seeking additional cast members for our next production. This production has been awhile in the making and this is the journey so far: September 2011 Two new plays were brought to the group with a view to doing both of them. As there were more members than main parts in the first play ('Whatever Happened to the Ghost Sleuthers'), we asked some cast members to take smaller roles and then be in the main cast of 'Edge of Glory'. Scripts were then handed out and people were asked to learn their lines on both. September 2011 - December 2011 Lines were learned and character study was done for 'Edge of Glory'. January 2012 Work began on 'Edge of Glory'. A task made a lot easier because people knew their lines and characters prior to rehearsals. February 2012 A casting call for additional cast members. The play is set in a pub where over a series of four weeks, event nights are put on to gain more customers. The nights are pub quiz, fancy dress 80's night, stand-up comedy night and a karaoke night. This is where we need the additional casting - we need people to come in and take part in the nights. No dialogue, just joining in the fun. No experience is necessary, just a commitment to the rehearsal period. We are also looking for a main cast member of a male in his mid-thirties. By taking part, you also have an opportunity to join Amaline Theatre Productions. All auditions for future casting are all done through members first so this is an opportunity to take part in the group, see how we run it and then take a meatier role in future productions.
