When Jessica moves back home after a failed relationship, she feels her life is going into a downward spiral.  To make matters worse, she’s struggling to work on her second novel in an environment she finds stale and uninspiring.  Jessica knows she needs to take action and fast!

Conversely, her mother Emma is content with her life and routine.  She has her pub and regular customers to look after and now she has her daughter back with her full-time.  Emma finds it difficult to say no to her daughter though, so when Jessica decides to run a series of events in the pub to bring in more customers and money, she can hardly refuse.

Through the ensuing quiz, eighties, comedy and Karaoke nights it quickly becomes clear that it is not only Jessica who has a lot to learn...

...And that change is not always a bad thing.

Selena's acting career began with a degree in Drama, although she has had plenty of experience since then. She has performed with Howardian Players and in all of Amaline's productions to date.

Renata Madeiros as KAREN

Renata is originally from Portugal but moved to Cardiff with her family in 2006. She is a seabird ecologist, working at Cardiff University. This is her third production with Amaline.

P1012978

Chris Williams as PETER

Singing and dancing, swearing, getting into bed with female members of cast; Chris has enjoyed indulging in behaviour different to his own while portraying characters in his four previous Amaline performances (he is looking forward to more in future plays!).

P1013007

Damian Howells as
 SION

Damian is a graduate in English and Popular Culture.  He joined Amaline in 2010 to take part in 'The Training of The Shrews'.   Since then Damian has co-written two plays for Amaline and is working on a third.  This will be his fourth acting role for Amaline.

The 'Edge of Glory’ marks Rebecca's fourth production with Amaline.  Rebecca always enjoys rehearsals and is particularly pleased that Amaline only produces original works.

Sarah
Sarah Phillips as HANNAH

Sarah has been performing on stage since a young age. She was a member of the Isles of Scilly Theatre Club where she was involved in many of their productions until leaving the islands to further her education.
